Jeremy Lykken

Jeremy is a software engineer on the Enterprise Applications and Data Systems team with Washington DC Public Schools (DCPS) where he builds and supports enterprise applications for the district’s schools and central office teams. Jeremy has experience across the stack and specializes in data engineering, cloud computing, DevOps, and the Canvas learning management system (LMS).

Jeremy has over 5 years of experience working with the Canvas LMS. He is a regular attendee of the Canvas InstructureCon and has worked as a course designer, technical trainer, lead web developer, and administrator. Jeremy is the architect of DCPS’ current LMS design and now works regularly with the Canvas API for managing and analyzing student, staff, and course data at scale. Jeremy also collaborated with eLuminate Learning co-founder, John Corry, as a front-end developer for eCornell’s Plant-Based Nutrition course hosted on Canvas.

Jeremy has a certificate in Data Science from Georgetown University, associate-level certifications in cloud computing and software development with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Washington in Seattle.
